Stream to gv, setup by people banned from PBBans for trying to fake logs and get innocent people banned, PBBans banned hackers on the staff list, spoofed bans on their ban list, a 3rd rate reject pro-cheat site, they can fuck off. Up shit creek without a paddle would be an understatement right now & I think allot of servers will also shut down because of this. Even worse:- Right now I'm trying to get a recent pbbans.dat (ban file) because at the moment, not one server has one that's been recently updated as we used PBBans enforce bans flag which meant no need for pbbans.dat, there is one, but hardly anything in it. Basically anyone that was on the PBBans MBI before all this can join our servers and play, I should have downloaded it before this, sorry. PBBans|AcE - Retired

Folgende Nachricht im PBBans IRC Channel brachte heute die Gerüchteküche zum brodeln. Das Topic lautete: 'PBBans 2003-2009 Farewell All--It has been a great ride!'

Nachdem auch PBBans von schweren DDoS Attacken getroffen wurde und der alte Hoster PBBans nicht die Treue halten wollte, schien die Reise wirklich am Ende gewesen zu sein. Nur zu gut kann man nachvollziehen, dass Zweifel aufkamen, ob diese undankbare und ehrenamtliche Aufgabe all den Ärger und all die Kosten wert sind und zwischenzeitlich sahen auch die Mitarbeiter von PBBans keinen Sinn mehr darin, den Kampf fortzusetzen. Der Entschluss war gefasst, die Arbeit zu beenden und den Kampf gegen Windmühlen einer nächsten Generation zu überlassen.

Doch erreichte uns soeben eine Nachricht, die wieder Grund zum Hoffen gibt. Angespornt vom Hohn der Gegenseite wurde doch nach alternativen Lösungen gesucht und letztlich soeben gefunden! Zwar kostet der neue Hoster 150$ mehr im Monat als der alte, doch ist der alte Kampfgeist wieder entfacht! PBBans wirft nicht hin. Nun dauert es zwar noch einige Tage, bis die Hardware zum neuen Hoster in New York geschickt werden kann, doch dann soll die Arbeit wieder aufgenommen werden. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass PBBans letztlich stärker aus der Krise hervorgeht und der Community noch lange erhalten bleibt

Andre, was sollen die den daraus lernen? Dass der Destruktivismus einiger Leute i.V.m der Arbeitslosenvergütung in diesem Land zu einer grösseren Belastung für die vernünftige Spielergemeinschaft geworden ist als es tragbar ist für Leute, die freiwillig und in ihrer Freizeit dafür sorgen wollten, dass ein fairer Wettkampf besteht? Keine Lektion, auf die man als Lehrmeister stolz sein sollte, meinst du nicht auch? So eine Potentialverschwendung hab ich selten wo gesehen ehrlich...

Aber wir wollen hier gar icht erst in Versuchung eines Flamewars geraten. Hier gehts um SpielSPASS und Fairness und Respekt. Daher: beim Thema bleiben sonst wird der Thread geschlossen.

Es gibt mittlerweile Cheater Communitys die sich nur darum kümmern, anderen Spielern den Spaß zu verderben, durch Server Crashen, bzw Dos Attack auf Servern.

Wir sind eine Battlefield Community.
Weder Hacks oder der gleichen werden bei uns angeboten.

Sobald der Server in New York steht gehts weiter. Es haben sich genug Leute gefunden, die durch Spenden das Ganze ermöglicht haben. Es gibt wohl genug ehrliche Gamer, die echt angepißt sind, von den ganzen Cheatern / Hackern.

After thinking about it overnight and the overwhelming messages from supporters who pleaded us not to close, we have decided to continue. Ich bin mal gespannt, wie es mit denen weitergeht.

Die haben nun einen Hoster der 1gb an dos abkann, jedoch ist das keine wirkliche Lösung.

Ich behaupte das war Pbbans selbst um an Kohle zu kommen, die werden 1 Tag gedos und schmeissen alles hin und haben gleich stunden später plötzlich einen sponsor der lächerlich 15߀ mehr finanziert.


Was bitte soll ggc da sagen die seid Wochen unter Dos stehen und trotzdem weiter kämpfen ohne ständig für donations zu betteln.

Da sehe ich einige Widersprüche in deinen Aussagen bzw zitierten Passagen, die ich mal hervorgehoben habe. Und wenn meine grauen Zellen nicht zu sehr gelitten haben gab es bereits vor einiger Zeit Attacken auf pbbans.

Wenn du die Zahlen, die du scheinbar durcheinander gebracht hast richtig wiedergibst kann ich dir sagen bei wem der faule Apfel liegt

Erkläre mir einen Grund wieso Pbbans wegen ner lächerlichen Dos Attacke seinen Service einstellt obwohl die Masterserver davon nicht betroffen waren.

Die Attacke ging übrigens nur 4h, der server wäre nach 2-3 Tagen mit den Anfragen fertig gewesen und die Seite hätte wieder funktioniert.

und wegen 150$....lol
